Artist Statement
An ever approaching distance and anamnesis. The art of Alexander Hofstetter questions the philosophical transitoriness of existence, and both the vulnerable and traumatic nature of spiritual transformation. Although these transformations are genuinely personal, they also are drawn from the great wealth of the collective mythological, religious and psychological experience.
